Caban-y-Bryn (shepherds hut)
Caban-y-Bryn sits at the top of a 2 acre terraced garden, with fabulous views of the surrounding valleys and hills. It sleeps three, with a comfy double bed and a sofa which can be converted to a single bed. It has an outdoor shower and wood fired bath-tub, compost toilet, a wood-burning stove, sink, all cooking equipment and two hobs for cooking. Linen, gowns and towels are provided.
There is also an outdoor fire pit for toasting marshmallows on a cosy evening and watching the sunset opposite the Hut. The decking offers a perfect setting for outdoor meals, or another spot to watch the sunset over a glass of bubbly.
The hut is a remote country retreat, built with the consciousness of sustainability. It's electricity is powered by solar energy, and the toilet is a compost system. The location of the Hut offers a relaxing break from modern life, so the only socket in the Hut is a USB point from which to charge your phone. There is also no WiFi or T.V. in the Hut. If you need access to a plug socket or internet, you are welcome to use our house at the bottom of the garden, or we can provide an extension cable for your stay.
There is parking next to our house, and a short 3 minute walk up to the Hut.
